Following the Fukuoka Building, which was demolished in May 2019, the adjacent Tenjin Core Building and Tenjin Daiichimeiten Building were demolished in April 2020. One Fukuoka Building (ONE FUKUOKA BLDG.) will be constructed as a large complex combining three buildings, and is scheduled to be completed in December 2024 and open in spring 2025.

There is also a cafe and multipurpose space.

Additionally, a cafe/bar will be opened on the first floor facing Meiji Dori. The sky lobby on the 6th and 7th floors will have a lounge space, co-working space, cafe, etc.

Aeon Mall opens a store

In the commercial area, it has been decided that Aeon Mall will open, and a portion of the basement floor will feature a food sales zone including a food and beverage zone and a supermarket based on the concept of “health and wellness.”

What is “Tenjin Big Bang”?

“Tenjin Big Bang” is a large-scale redevelopment project in the Tenjin area that is being promoted by Fukuoka City. In addition to promoting the reconstruction of advanced buildings, the city aims to create an attractive town by creating comfortable public spaces. The main areas include Tenjin 1-chome North Block, Tenjin 1-chome South Block, and the site of the former Daimyo Elementary School. In addition to the “Fuku Building Block Reconstruction Project,” it has been decided that “The Ritz-Carlton” will open in the new high-rise building “Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City.”
