[New York (Reuters)]- The U.S. stock market continues to rise. Strong corporate financial results were seen as a factor. The quarterly results of the “Magnificent 7” and other large growth stocks, which are scheduled to be announced in the near future, are also attracting attention.
The March US Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) Price Index, released on the 26th, is attracting attention in order to determine when the US interest rate will be cut.
Advancing issues outnumbered declining issues on the New York Stock Exchange by a ratio of 4.89 to 1. The NASDAQ also had a 2.69-to-1 ratio of rising stocks.
The total trading volume on US exchanges was 10.57 billion shares. The average for the last 20 business days was 11.07 billion shares.
