“Best Artist” started in 2001 and is now in its 23rd year. Sakurai, who has been chosen to serve as general host again this year, said, “It feels like the end of the year has finally begun.This year, artists from various generations will be performing, so we’ll be able to have fun with a wider range of generations than in previous years, and enjoy the whole family together.” I think you’ll be able to enjoy it.Also, I think it will be a large-scale program, with broadcasts connecting from several locations.”
The 27 performing artists have also been announced, with JO1, Yuri, Kep1er and others set to appear for the first time. Masaharu Fukuyama, Yuzu, and Perfume will each perform a special medley including live songs. Further information on participating artists and special projects will be announced in due course.

I had the opportunity to do a PR shoot and interview for “Best Artist,” and it feels like the end of the year has finally begun.
This year, artists from various generations will be performing, so I think it will be enjoyed by a wider range of generations than in previous years, and by the whole family. I also think that the program has a large scale feel, with broadcasts being broadcast from several locations.
It will be aired at the beginning of December, so I hope you enjoy it and feel like the end of the year has finally begun!
