“Hitachi Starlight Illumination 2023” (sponsored by Hitachi Citizen Science and Culture Foundation) will be held at Hitachi Civic Center New City Plaza from November 18th (Saturday)!
The theme of this year’s illumination, which will be held for the 24th time, is “Starry Illumination.” Illuminations will be installed in the air to create a gorgeous space like never before. Full-color LEDs will be installed on a pentagonal wire with a diameter of approximately 33m 8m above the center of New City Plaza, the main venue.
Approximately 20,000 LED bulbs, including the main tree, will stand up in a variety of colors and movements using a computer program, undulating and spreading to create Hitachi’s land, underwater, and geological formations.
Please come and experience the fantastic world surrounded by light!

[Related events]

Illumination lighting concert

A one-night-only joint concert by Hitachi city junior high and high school brass bands, the Hitachi Boys and Girls Choir, and the Hope of Peace Gospel Choir.
*Due to the lighting concert, the lights will start at around 17:00 on the first day.

winter cherry blossom festival

The free passageway at JR Hitachi Station is decorated with illuminations inspired by cherry blossoms, creating an attractive world of light reminiscent of a tunnel of cherry blossoms in full bloom.
The illumination can also be seen changing from the color of cherry blossoms to the color of warm sunlight, giving you a different view than usual.
