Corresponding locations of reasons for disqualification shown in the 2020 Tochigi Prefecture Rifle Shooting Range Designated Manager Public Recruitment Guidelines

It was revealed on the 18th that a company that fell under the disqualification criteria was mistakenly selected in a public recruitment process held in 2020 and 2021 for designated managers to entrust the management of two facilities in Tochigi Prefecture. A company executive serves as the prefecture’s labor commissioner, and was deemed ineligible under the public recruitment guidelines. The prefecture acknowledged the mistake, saying there was an oversight, but said it has no plans to cancel the order.

According to the prefecture and the prefectural labor committee, two organizations responded to the 2020 open call for applications for the prefectural rifle range, and a consortium including Kita-Kanto Sogo Security Insurance Co., Ltd. (Utsunomiya City) was selected. The company was the only company that applied and was selected for the Prefectural Disaster Prevention Center in 2021. The company’s managing director has been serving as a labor committee member since July 2019.
