The Kanto region will be cold due to rain. Tomorrow, the 25th, as the weather improves, the number of summer days will increase. Be careful of the heat during Golden Week.
Today, the 24th, it will be cloudy and rainy over a wide area, and the rainier areas are, the harder it is for temperatures to rise. Especially in the Kanto region, the temperature at noon is around 14℃ to 17℃, and you can feel cool without a jacket. Tomorrow, the 25th, as the weather improves, the number of summer sun spots will increase rapidly. Please be careful of sudden heat.
Today, the 24th, it’s raining in the Kanto region and it’s cool.
Today, the 24th (Wednesday), it is cloudy and rainy from Kyushu to Tohoku, making it difficult for temperatures to rise.
Particularly in the Kanto region, the midday temperature is 15.6°C in central Tokyo, 14.8°C in Yokohama, 13.7°C in Maebashi, and 13.9°C in Utsunomiya, which is so cold that you don’t need a thick jacket.
The temperature is lower in areas covered by rain clouds, such as 16.6℃ in Nagoya and 14.5℃ in Sendai.
On the other hand, temperatures are on the rise in northern Kyushu, where the sun is shining, and the noon temperature in Fukuoka City is 19.5℃.
Tomorrow, the 25th, the temperature will soar as the weather improves, and the number of summer days will increase rapidly.
The predicted maximum temperature is 27℃ in central Tokyo and 26℃ in Nagoya. Today, the 24th (Wednesday), the temperature will remain almost the same, so tomorrow, the 25th (Thursday), it will be around 10 degrees Celsius higher than today. The number of summer sun spots is expected to increase rapidly from China and Shikoku to the Kanto region.
Many people’s bodies are still not used to the heat, so they need to be careful about sudden heat. It’s a good idea to drink plenty of water and take breaks in cool places. Please be careful about heat stroke, such as talking to the elderly and small children who are sensitive to heat more than usual.
Take precautions against the heat during Golden Week
On the 27th (Saturday), the start of the holidays, there will be widespread rain and the heat will subside, but from the 28th (Sunday) onwards, the summer weather will continue west of the Kanto region.
When going out, be sure to have heat stroke prevention gear such as a hat and parasol to protect yourself from direct sunlight, and make sure to stay hydrated. In a car, where the temperature tends to rise in a short period of time, take precautions against the heat by ensuring good ventilation and using the air conditioner appropriately.
Convenient to have heatstroke prevention goods
① Prepare a drink (water, sports drink, etc.) in a plastic bottle or water bottle so that you can rehydrate as soon as you notice. Also, if you have salt tablets or candy containing salt, you can easily replenish the salt you lose through sweating.
② Use a parasol or hat to block the heat of the sun. On sunny days, the temperature is higher closer to the ground, so shorter children will be surrounded by hotter air than adults. In addition, wearing a hat not only protects you from heat stroke, but also protects you from UV rays. Remove your hat from time to time to allow sweat to evaporate. Furthermore, when you are doing leisure activities in places where there is no shade, such as on the coast, you can create shade by having a sunshade tent.
③ Fans, fans, and portable fans are also recommended. The cool breeze can cool your body.
④ Make good use of cooling goods such as cooling sheets. Neck coolers cool down your neck, where large blood vessels run close to the surface of your body, allowing you to cool down efficiently. Also, if you have ice packs or ice, you can wrap yourself in a towel and apply it to your body (neck, armpits, base of thighs, etc.) to cool yourself down. Alternatively, if you have a scarf or bandana, you can wet it with water and wrap it around your neck or head. When the water evaporates, it absorbs the heat from the surrounding area, which can lower your body temperature.
To prevent heatstroke, you should not only prepare heatstroke prevention goods, but also take frequent breaks in a cool place, and ask each other questions such as “Are you drinking water?” and “You should take a break.” Don’t forget that either.
