On March 18th, the 9th “Hyogo Likes! Shop Awards” award ceremony was held at the Hyogo Prefectural Civic Hall (Chuo Ward, Kobe City).
The “Hyogo Likes! Shop Award” is sponsored by three organizations: Hyogo Prefecture, the Hyogo Prefecture Federation of Commerce, and the Hyogo Prefecture Shopping District Promotion Association, and recognizes excellent unique stores located in shopping districts within the prefecture. A project that awards awards and widely disseminates its efforts.
Kiss PRESS also supports the philosophy of the project and, as an official media partner, is disseminating the activities of the “Hyogo Likes! Shop Awards” and the appeal of award-winning stores.
Representatives from eight award-winning stores, including the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Prize-winning stores, gathered at the venue, and at the awards ceremony, Koji Harada, Director of the Hyogo Prefectural Industrial and Labor Department, presented certificates and shields to the winners.
In his congratulatory speech after the award ceremony, Manager Harada said, “I would like to sincerely congratulate all the winners of the 9th Hyogo I Like Shop Award.” I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work. Every year, I am curious to see which stores have won awards this year, and I often visit the stores that have received awards. However, there are so many shops where you can enjoy talking with the shopkeepers, and you can feel the idea that “let’s work together, including our customers, to create a community.”
Regarding the situation surrounding shopping districts and individual stores, he said, “The situation is difficult due to the development of the Internet and intensifying price competition,” but added, “As the aging society progresses, there are many people who are unable to buy water delivered to their homes, light bulbs, etc.” I feel that the traditional approach of individual stores that are rooted in the local community, such as having people come to the store to change their clothes, is being reconsidered.The kind of service and communication that local people are looking for is what stores are looking for. I think this may be one of the paths that the city and the shops should aim for, and I look forward to working with everyone to create a “dynamic Hyogo,” and I look forward to your continued support.” I concluded by saying.
