The first task of the season is to plow the beet fields, which are the raw material for sugar beet, using a tractor equipped with a device called a “half soiler” called a “claw.”
Automatically operated tractors efficiently plowed the fields, which had varying conditions due to factors such as the progress of snow melting due to exposure to sunlight and the effects of the previous year’s farming operations.

First of all, I put my nails into the beet field where the seeds will be sown first. A machine called a half soiler is attached to the M7 to deeply soften the soil. This has the effect of increasing drainage and soil temperature, and conversely, raising moisture from below and moistening the surface of the earth. It took me a whole day to complete the nail planting in about 9ha of beet fields.
