Makubetsu Town, Male, 60s “I have itchy eyes with symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing, which is a symptom typical of this time of year!I didn’t have any symptoms of hay fever in the past, but since I developed allergic rhinitis, I have had hay fever symptoms. It’s out!”
It is said that there is no hay fever in Hokkaido! However, in Hokkaido, more and more people are suffering from birch hay fever.
Still, my hay fever has improved since I came to Hokkaido! I can still hear that voice.

Wakkanai City Female, 20s “I’m going to get a flat tire on my bicycle (crying). I have to ride slowly and carefully.”
Female, 30s, Sapporo City: “Once, I got stuck in a pothole and flattened the front tire of my car, resulting in an unexpectedly costly expense…(tears) Since then, the bumpy roads have been traumatic for me.”

Potholes especially occur in the winter when there are many suddenly warm days. The cause is that melted water seeps into the road and freezes, making the concrete brittle.
