According to a survey* conducted by Orion Beer among men and women in their 20s to 60s in Tokyo and three prefectures, Okinawa Prefecture was ranked number one as the destination they most wanted to visit during the Golden Week, but there were also concerns about cost and congestion at tourist spots. In fact, there was a tendency to plan local trips near the Kanto region. In response to the results of this survey, Orion Beer will be holding an immersive event for a limited time during Golden Week that will make you feel like you are on the beach in Okinawa for those who want to go to Okinawa but cannot.

“A bar that takes you to Okinawa in seconds by Orion” is, as the name suggests, an immersive bar where you can experience a trip to Okinawa in seconds without leaving Shibuya. When you open the curtains at the underground entrance, you will be greeted by an Okinawan space that recreates Miyakojima’s “Yonaha Maehama Beach,” which is said to be the most beautiful beach in the East with its contrast between the white sand and the Miyako blue sea. On the front wall, a video of “Yonaha Maehama Beach” taken in conjunction with this event is projected using projection mapping, and the floor is actually covered with white sand, creating an immersive Okinawa space that makes you wonder if it is underground in Shibuya. . You can enjoy free Orion beer while watching the changing beautiful scenery.

“Yonaha Maehama Beach” that changes over time appears through projection mapping!

Using footage of Yonaha Maehama taken for this event, we will recreate the beach through projection mapping. In 30 minutes, the scenery changes from a pleasant sunny day to a nostalgic sunset, allowing you to experience a relaxing time as if you were spending the day on an Okinawa beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The floor is covered with white sand to create the feel of a beach with pleasant waves.In addition to planting banyan trees, the space also pursues realism in terms of temperature and humidity.

At your feet is a stretch of white sand that recreates the beach of Miyakojima, and around it are trees unique to the prefecture, such as banyan and daisy. At the entrance, you can change into island sandals and enjoy the real Okinawa space while feeling the temperature, humidity, and feel of the sand. The background music of the sound of waves crashing and the sound of Okinawa’s traditional musical instrument, the sanshin, will make your time enjoying Orion Beer even more exciting.

A cast member from Okinawa will greet you and make you feel like you’re drinking Orion beer on-site!
