Kagoshima Prefecture (excluding the Amami region) and Miyazaki Prefecture have been experiencing short periods of sunlight since early April. This situation is expected to continue for about two weeks.
The Japan Meteorological Observatory is urging people to be careful in managing their crops.
■The number of sunshine hours will continue to be low for the next two weeks
In Kagoshima Prefecture (excluding the Amami region) and Miyazaki Prefecture, there were some sunny days due to high pressure, but since early April there have been many cloudy and rainy days due to the influence of low pressure and fronts, and daylight hours have been below normal. In some places, it is about half of that.
For the next two weeks or so, conditions with little sunlight are expected to continue as the country is susceptible to fronts and humid air.
