Report on “Yamaguchi Prefecture Parents Association Parents Welcome Party” and “Yamaguchi Prefecture Parents Association April Board Meeting”

A “Parent Welcome Party” to kick off this year’s project was held at the restaurant and bar “Charlie’s” in Shunan City, with a total of 21 people in attendance, including 7 parents of new students.

The meeting opened with a welcome speech from Parents Chairman Mitsui, followed by an explanation of the activities of the Parents’ Association and self-introductions.The meeting proceeded in a peaceful atmosphere while enjoying dessert.

During the chat, senior parents gave advice to parents of new students about their concerns, and parents of the same grade shared stories of memories such as the entrance ceremony and the difficulty of the entrance exam, allowing students to connect locally. There were also voices of joy.

In the second half of the event, events such as a Meiji University quiz and a raffle where you could win Meiji University goods were held, and the two hours flew by.

The event concluded with the singing of the Meiji University school song and a photo shoot in which the participants posed as “Meiji is No. 1 after all”.

The parents also promised to enjoy Meiji University even more than the students, and the meeting was adjourned.

This time’s venue was “Charlie’s”… It turned out that the owner’s nephew is a current student at Meiji University. Please feel free to use it as a gathering place (lol)

Additionally, the April Board of Directors Meeting will be held in the morning of the same day.

There will be a meeting for the “Parents and Children Exchange Meeting” to be held at the Surugadai Campus on May 11th (Saturday), and the “Yamaguchi Prefecture Parents Association General Meeting/Meeting” on June 5th (Wednesday) (held in front of Shin-Yamaguchi Station). We made preparations.

We plan to hold many parent-teacher exchange events throughout the year. We look forward to your participation!!
