Toyama Prefecture announced on the 26th that a 32-year-old male supervisor who allegedly touched a woman’s thighs on a train was given a six-month pay cut and a one-tenth disciplinary action, effective April 12.

On the 26th, Toyama Prefecture announced the details of five disciplinary actions taken between October of last year and April 26.

Among them, a 32-year-old male employee at the Toyama Prefecture Regional Revitalization Bureau was given a 10% pay cut for six months.

Last April, while returning from a business trip to the Kansai region, the male supervisor allegedly touched the thighs and buttocks of a woman sitting next to him on the train.

The incident was discovered when the victim got off the train at Kanazawa Station and complained of the damage. Last October, the male manager was given a summary order with a fine of 150,000 yen for violating the Ishikawa Prefecture Nuisance Prevention Ordinance.

In response to this, Toyama Prefecture imposed a disciplinary action on the male supervisor on April 12, including a six-month pay cut.

The male supervisor said, “I am aware that this act seriously undermined my credibility as a public servant, and I am truly sorry for the people involved.”

Other victims include a 55-year-old male employee who was injured in a traffic accident, a 54-year-old high school teacher and a 59-year-old female office manager, and a 56-year-old male employee who took a smartphone photo of a woman in a swimsuit at the pool.
