All About News Editorial Department conducted an original questionnaire survey from February 15th to March 18th targeting 278 people in their teens to 60s across the country regarding “Hot spring destinations they would like to visit in Hokkaido/Tohoku region.” . This time, we will introduce a ranking of the hot springs you want to visit in Fukushima Prefecture.

2nd place: Iwaki Yumoto Onsen

2nd place was “Iwaki Yumoto Onsen”.

Iwaki Yumoto Onsen is said to have opened in the Nara period, but is now known as the town of hula dancing. That’s because there is a hot spring resort facility called “Spa Resort Hawaiians” where you can enjoy a pool using the hot springs of Iwaki Yumoto and a hula dance show.

In addition to experiencing hula dancing in the “Hula Town”, there are also plenty of leisure activities such as the “Environmental Aquarium Aquamarine Fukushima” and facilities where you can enjoy strawberry picking. Hot spring therapy is also available, with the hot spring therapists at each inn providing advice on bathing methods tailored to individual goals and physical conditions.

Respondents said, “Iwaki is home to Hawaiians and the aquarium, and it was attractive to be able to stop by on the way home.” (Female, 30s, Miyagi Prefecture); “I ate fresh seafood in Iwaki, and in the evening I went to Iwaki Yumoto.” I want to relax in a hot spring.” (Male, 40s, Ibaraki Prefecture)

1st place: Inawashiro Onsen

1st place was “Inawashiro Onsen”.

Inawashiro Onsen is located in a resort area overlooking Lake Inawashiro. There are plenty of day-trip hot springs that you can enjoy in a variety of ways, including hot springs that are fed directly from the source and hot springs that allow you to take a bath while admiring the scenery.

There are herb gardens and flower gardens on the premises, and you can also enjoy leisure at outdoor facilities such as a ski resort, campground, tennis courts, and field athletics.

Respondents said, “I went to Lake Inawashiro on a school trip when I was in elementary school, and I don’t remember much of it since I was a child, so I would like to go there again” (Female in her 40s, Saitama Prefecture), “Near Lake Inawashiro, famous for Hideyo Noguchi. “I was curious about the hot springs in the area,” said one woman in her 50s from Tokushima Prefecture.
