Tojinbo is a national natural monument located in the Echizen Kaga Kaigan Quasi-National Park.It has a dynamic scenery of huge columnar rocks (columnar joints) that have withstood the rough waves of the Sea of Japan for many years, stretching along the coastline for about 1 km in width. It’s a feature.

Tojinbo Onsen, located about 7 to 8 minutes by car from Tojinbo, is a simple alkaline hot spring. This hot spring, which has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 best sunsets, is located on a hill, and you can see the Sea of Japan far into the distance.

1st place: Awara Onsen (Awara Onsen)

Awara Onsen dates back to 1883 (Meiji 16), when a farmer dug a well to obtain water for irrigation, and a hot spring of approximately 80 degrees gushed out. The hot water is not jointly managed; each facility owns several hot spring wells, so the composition of the hot spring water varies depending on where you bathe.

Ashihara is also called the “inner parlor of Kansai” and is popular among the people of Keihanshin. Along with the hot springs, you can enjoy a wealth of local delicacies such as seafood from the Sea of Japan such as crabs and seasonal fish, as well as Wakasa beef.
