“Otoshi Nagano 2024” to live and work in Nagano Prefecture for up to 6 months begins recruiting participants – INTERNET Watch

Nagano Prefecture has begun recruiting participants for “Otoshi Nagano 2024,” which provides IT professionals from the three major metropolitan areas with an opportunity to live and work within the prefecture. The application deadline is May 30th at 5pm.

This event will be carried out as part of the efforts to realize the Shinshu IT Valley Initiative, which aims to become a gathering place for IT personnel and industries who will co-create the Society 5.0 era. You can “try out” life in Nagano Prefecture for up to six months in one of the prefecture’s 17 municipalities.

Applicants are residents of non-Nagano prefectures, aged 18 or over, and generally under 45 years old, or corporations that do not have a base in Nagano prefecture, with a maximum of 3 people per group for both individuals and corporations, and approximately 15 groups are expected. Participants will be determined through document screening and online interviews.

As support during this period, subsidies will be provided for office (co-working space) usage fees, moving expenses, transportation expenses for work outside the prefecture, and rental fees for furniture, home appliances, and cars. In principle, the total amount of subsidy is up to 300,000 yen per person (up to 900,000 yen for a group of 3 people). In addition, networking events will be held between participants and businesses in the prefecture to support the creation of connections between local communities and businesses. Support will also be provided to those wishing to permanently move to Nagano Prefecture or set up a base after their living period ends.

The implementation locations are 17 municipalities in the following four areas. You can select up to a second choice when applying.
