Amusement park “Nagashima Spa Land” in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture = 2020
At around 11:50 a.m. on the 18th, a roller coaster at Nagashima Spaland, an amusement park in Nagashima Town, Kuwana, Mie Prefecture, came to an emergency stop while ascending. According to Nagashima Resort, which operates the ship, it stopped near the 97-meter-high summit. After about 10 minutes, the train resumed operation and returned to the platform. The 23 passengers remained on board and waited. No one was injured or complained of feeling unwell. A power outage caused by a lightning strike appears to have been the cause.

According to the website of Chubu Electric Power Power Grid, a power outage occurred in the Kuwana City area around 11:40 a.m. before the coaster stopped.
