We were especially particular about Millennium’s take-off scene, and Director Fukuda said, “He wanted the take-off scene in Mighty Jack to have high waves.Since it’s an open ocean, there are swells. The waves are the devil.” He thanked the CG team, saying, “Thanks to you, it looked cool. The waves make it look huge. You can see the purple shark flying in the foreground, and you can see how big it is.”

Millennium has large wings on the back. Director Fukuda explained, “That’s what (Kazuki) Miyatake told me. If you want to make a cool battleship, put all the wings in the back.”

It is said that there was a “phantom plan” for the final battle scene in Millennium, and Shigeta said, “At the end, Murrue goes up, the steering wheels come out, and she turns and rams her body…” Director Fukuda then said, “(Marieu) wears an armored suit, carries something like an anti-tank rifle, and if we ram her, Marie-san will kill Aura with a long-range sniper shot. I was thinking about it, but I don’t have time. That’s it,” he said.
