“Midori no Machi” is the second film in which Oda, who made his first directorial debut with “Someday, Somewhere,” returns to the director’s chair based on his own experiences. He was also in charge of the screenplay and music. Atsuro Watabe, Hiroko Nakajima, Isao Bito, Gamon Kawasai, Yasufumi Hayashi, Kazue Kakugae, Kohei Otomo, Chisato Oe, Tetsuya Takeda, Shigeru Izumiya, Masahiko Tsugawa, and others appeared.

One day, popular artist Natsume Sosuke suddenly announces that he wants to make a movie. The president and staff of the agency strongly oppose it, but Natsume doesn’t care and begins preparations for production. Eventually, the story goes that the staff members are inspired by Natsume’s desire to take on the challenge of a new world and embark on film production, and a behind-the-scenes behind-the-scenes behind-the-scenes behind-the-scenes look at the making of this film, “LIFE-SIZE KAZUMASA ODA 1997,” was also created.

Also included in the lineup is “Mao Inoue’s Kazumasa Oda,” which aired in 2012 as the first installment of the “Taken by ○○” series, which was produced to commemorate the 700th broadcast of the documentary program “Jonetsu Tairiku.” Inoue took on the role of director for the first time in this film, showing Oda from her perspective.
