The original work “Trapezium” is a story about Yu Higashi, a high school student who aims to become an idol, as he moves toward his dream while gathering beautiful girls from north, south, east, and west. It has been serialized in the magazine “Da Vinci” since 2016. Takayama’s youth novel, which was published as a book in 2018, incorporates Takayama’s own experiences and struggles as a member of a top idol group, and has received a lot of attention for its fresh, realistic and passionate writing. It was a huge hit with a total of 300,000 copies sold.
Regarding the anime adaptation of his debut work, Takayama said with emotion, “It was released about six years ago, so I wrote it even earlier.I’m filled with gratitude that something I wrote back then became something this big.” Deep. “I was happy to hear about the scenery and atmosphere that I couldn’t see in the novel, while also asking for advice from professionals.I wanted to answer that question,” he said.
Takayama was also involved in the production of the scenario.
