[１７日 ロイター] – OpenAI, a startup company that developed the conversational artificial intelligence (AI) ChatGPT, announced on the 17th that CEO Sam Altman will step down.
OpenAI said, “Mr. Altman’s resignation was a deliberate process by the Board of Directors, and the Board concluded that Mr. Altman lacked candor in his communication with the Board and hindered the Board from fulfilling its responsibilities.” It appears that he was effectively dismissed.
Mira Murati, chief technology officer, will serve as interim CEO until a successor is chosen.
A spokesperson for Microsoft (MSFT.O), which has invested billions of dollars in open AI, told Reuters: “Microsoft remains committed to interim CEO Murati and his team as we deliver a new era of AI to our customers.” Stated.
