A communication failure has occurred in the landline telephone service provided by Softbank since 13:46 on November 18th. Calls including emergency calls (calls to 110/118/119) are unavailable or difficult to use on the Otoku Line and Otoku Hikari lines in the East Japan area, and calls that require an emergency cannot be made. It is recommended to use a mobile phone or public phone.

In connection with this matter, it has become difficult to connect to some of the telephone centers for the company’s Y!mobile brand mobile phone service. Additionally, there are reports on social media that it is becoming difficult to reach businesses and stores that appear to be using SoftBank’s landline phone lines.
