[エルサレム 24日 ロイター] – Multiple Israeli media reported on the 24th that the Israeli army will soon invade Rafah in the southern part of Gaza, a Palestinian autonomous region. Preparations are underway to evacuate Palestinian civilians who have taken refuge in Rafah.
Israel claims that Rafah is the last stronghold of the Islamic group Hamas. Citing the government’s decision, the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that the country’s military would invade Rafah “soon” after the US opposition to the invasion had delayed it in recent weeks.
Several other domestic media outlets have reported similar content, and some have said that a video has been posted on social media that appears to show the setting up of a tent village to house evacuees from Rafah.
Israel’s prime minister’s office and military could not be reached for comment.
