Naohisa Ogawa was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020 after his intractable ulcerative colitis worsened, and in February 2021 he underwent surgery to remove the cancer and was treated with anticancer drugs to prevent recurrence. I confessed on my SNS.

After that, in an interview on a medical website, she talked about her experience of overcoming colorectal cancer for people who had the same pain, but it seems that the stage had already advanced when the cancer was found.

At the young age of 51, Takayuki Wakita, who was a close friend and rival during his active career, expressed his condolences on the sudden news of his passing on SNS.

Naohisa Ogawa, a professional surfer belonging to our company, passed away due to cancer on Tuesday, May 23rd.
We would like to express our respect for his achievements, which have won numerous titles and continued to have a great influence on the Japanese surfing world, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your kindness during his lifetime.

When colorectal cancer was discovered in 2020, she overcame the treatment with her own strong will and was in complete remission. I was in the middle of the day.
As our company, we have continued to provide support to make that wish come true, so all of us at LDH are mourning the deceased in great sorrow.

According to the wishes of the deceased and his family, the funeral will be held by relatives.
We are planning to hold another farewell party.
