Feinsand reporter from MLB’s official website: “It was unanimously approved at the owners meeting.”
It was officially decided on the 16th that the Athletics will relocate from Oakland to Las Vegas. This has been reported by multiple media outlets, including Bob Nightingale of the US newspaper “USA Today”.
Mark Feinsand, a reporter for the official MLB website, posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, “It was unanimously approved at the owner meeting.” Pitcher Shintaro Fujinami remained with the team this season until he was traded to the Orioles in July. It is a team that is familiar to Japanese fans as it is in the same area as the Angels.
The Oakland Coliseum, the current home of the Athletics, has noticeably fewer spectators. Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred also said of the relocation move, saying, “We support the Athletics looking to Las Vegas.”
