Greetings at the end of the B.LEAGUE 2022-23 season
With the Nippon Life B.LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIFINALS GAME2 match against the Ryukyu Golden Kings held on May 21 (Sun), the Yokohama B-Corsairs’ 2022-23 season has come to an end. Thank you very much for all your support and support for the Yokohama B-Corsairs this season.
The two matches at the Okinawa Arena, the battle for the Finals stage, were strangely played in the same place and against the same opponent as the Emperor’s Cup three months ago, but they were not strong enough and lost, and they proceeded with the support of many people. This season’s voyage, which was completed, will end in the middle of the ambition.
At the beginning of the season, we set sail with the goal of qualifying for the first championship in club history.
In the early stages of the match, it was difficult to win, and the arena was far from full. was.
In an environment that can never be said to be blessed, he has fought more than evenly throughout the season against the strong clubs that have been beaten many times so far, catching up and overtaking. also showed me.
Influenced by the growing team, the club and the company as a whole changed positively, and I myself, who set a goal of participating in the CS at the beginning of the season, felt that the results of the Emperor’s Cup and the championship were unsatisfactory and frustrating. became.
The reason why the Ryukyu Golden Kings were unable to break through this big wall this season is that the Kings are a little bit more specific than us when they stand on the stage of the Finals at Yokohama Arena. I think I was ready for the road to get there.
Not only the players, coaching staff and team staff, but also the club as a whole will grow once again, and we will work on this over the next year so that we can envision ourselves winning the championship more clearly than any other club. .
In the 2022-23 season, the Yokohama B-Corsairs finished second in the central district with a record of 33 wins and 27 losses (winning rate of 0.550), finished in the best 4 of the Nippon Life Insurance B.LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP 2022-23, and finished in the top 4 of the 98th Emperor’s Cup All Japan Basketball Championship. We have finished the season.
This season’s experience is not something every club can experience. The club will work together to make the best use of the experience that is a finite resource, from the next season onwards.
Looking ahead to next season, it will be much more difficult and painful than this season to make the grown club even stronger.
The club will work together to prepare for next season so that fans and boosters will have even more expectations than this season. Next season, the second year of the new B1 judging period, will be a season in which mistakes are not allowed even more than this season. Based on this season’s sales of 1.2 billion yen and the average number of visitors of 4,000, which can be realistically captured, we will surely achieve this goal and create a club that will become the core of the new B1 in the future from this Yokohama. We will actively invest in various businesses in addition to strengthening the team in order to produce.
Cheering and claps in a packed arena is a really powerful boost for the players. We hope that you will come to the venue again next season and watch over the challenges of the pirates as they continue to grow.
Lastly, I would like to say that the reason we were able to run this season without any major incidents is thanks to all of you who support us on a daily basis, as well as everyone involved in Yokohama B-Corsairs. Thanks to all of you. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again in the 2023-24 season. We look forward to your continued support and encouragement in the coming season.
