In this work, Brad, an addict of the mysterious drug “Joy” that makes him feel nothing after drinking it, goes in search of a missing girl called “Buddy” in a devastated world where women are extremely rare. The story unfolds. The player’s choices seem to affect the progress of the game, and there are scenes where the player has to choose whether to make sacrifices and lose limbs in order to save their friends.

『LISA: The Painful』The beginning of the story depicts the childhood of the main character, Brad. Brad, who protects his childhood friend who is being bullied and gets beaten up, quietly sheds tears in the house where his rough father and baby sleep. Brad, who has grown into a bearded man, is living with his childhood friend when he discovers a baby. The baby’s gender was confirmed to be female.

Despite his childhood friend’s promise of a large reward if he hands over the baby to the military, Brad names the baby “Buddy” and vows to keep it hidden underground in order to save it from this ruined world.

Brad, who had been taking “Joy” to escape his father’s hallucinations, threw away the medicine for Buddy at the bottom of the cliff and continued to raise the child with his childhood friend. However, he is constantly plagued by hallucinations and ends up going to pick up his medicine and becomes addicted to alcohol.

One day, Brad comes across the scene where his childhood friend was brutally murdered, and his friend, who has summoned the last of his strength, tells him that “Buddy has been kidnapped.” In order to find his missing buddy, Brad goes on a journey with Terry, a blue-bearded man who claims to be an extremely strong warrior.

The game’s combat system is command-based, and the main character, Brad, has a unique attack style called Armstrong style. If you select this, he can unleash a flurry of punches and special moves like in a fighting game. Skills are activated when you input a specific combo such as △△×.

For some reason, you can save by talking to a crow, and there are also elements such as being able to enjoy conversations with party members while recovering your health at a campfire. There seem to be over 100 types of enemies that will appear, and up to 30 characters to join as allies.

Furthermore, as explained at the beginning, depending on the player’s choices, there are times when the player loses arms, eyes, etc., which may affect their status and attack methods. It is also possible to do things like bet your friends on Russian roulette in order to gain a huge amount of wealth, and it is a harsh specification that the friends you lose will never come back.
