Yuki Amami, the power to believe in yourself and the power of objectivity “Believe – The Bridge for You” interview | ORICON NEWS

--
Actor Amami Yuki will appear in the TV Asahi Thursday drama “Believe – The Bridge to You” (every Thursday at 9:00 p.m.). She plays the role of Reiko Kariyama, the wife of the main character, Riku Kariyama (Takuya Kimura), who works as a head nurse. This work, which is based on no original work and has an original script, does not know how the story will develop or how it will end – the same goes for the actors. At the time of the interview, Amami said, “We don’t even know who is our ally or who is our enemy.Even if it’s my wife, she might turn out to be our enemy…(lol)” It fueled people’s expectations.

This work, produced to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the opening of TV Asahi, depicts the main character, who is passionate about building bridges, and even though he is faced with the unexpected hardship of being imprisoned, he never gives up and strives for hope and rebirth. The story of searching for the path of the world is depicted on a grand scale.

The script was written by Yumiko Inoue. The main director is Jota Tsunehiro. These two have also worked on the drama “BG ~Kinbe Keigojin~” series (same station) starring Kimura and the drama “Emergency Interrogation Room” series (same station) starring Amami, and even if you can’t see where they will end up, , has “full trust” in them as colleagues who will be sharing the journey of creating dramas.

Regarding Kimura, who plays the role of a married couple for the first time, at an event held the other day, he said, “I always felt that they faced acting with such passion, but when I saw it in front of them, “Ah, this is Takuya Kimura.” Amami commented, “It’s very fresh and I can feel that it was well-crafted.” What kind of couple will the two of them play?

“In the life of the main character, Riku Kariyama, many unexpected things happen in a short period of time, the kind that happen once in a lifetime, all at once.Reiko is involved in one of them. The story begins with Riku and Reiko married, long past their best days as a couple, and getting used to seeing each other on set only a few times since filming began. I think the fact that they aren’t together works well to convey the feeling of a couple who are a little estranged.”

How will Reiko face her husband who ends up in prison?

“I think the main character, Riku Kariyama, is a person who can use his power not for himself but for someone else.I hope that someone will be saved by his actions. , I really don’t understand it (lol). Mr. Inoue’s script expresses each character in detail within the large undulations of the story, so I wonder where the characters’ difficult words and actions come from. I think it would be interesting to watch the show while exploring various things, such as what is in the heart and who should you trust.”

Finally, we asked Amami, who continues to be active on the front lines, what he believes in regarding the title “Believe.”

“I’d like to say it was me, but I can’t say that completely.I made the decision after thinking about whether I could take full responsibility for my words and actions, and whether I could accomplish them without making excuses.” Believing in yourself is a great motivator, but you don’t know if you’re always right. If you only believe in yourself, you may become complacent. So, follow your conscience and be objective. I’m trying to look like that.”

During the interview, his sincere personality oozed out as he tried to convey his feelings properly. I felt like I could see why she was admired.
