[Yajiuma PC Watch]The original “Wizardry” is back with a 3D remaster – PC Watch

--

Drecom Co., Ltd. will officially release “Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord”, a 3D remastered version of the party-type dungeon RPG “Wizardry”, on May 23rd. The remastered version supports six languages including Japanese.

Wizardry is the first party-based dungeon RPG for home computers, released in 1981 by Sir-Tech Software (now SirTech Entertainment). It was one of the titles that helped establish the genre, and it also influenced later domestic RPGs.

DIGITAL ECLIPSE was involved in the development of the remastered version, and was developed after signing an agreement with Drecom for the Wizardry registered trademark and SirTech remaster. While keeping the gameplay of the original version, we have improved/improved the graphics using Unreal Engine, party composition, dungeon movement, spell casting, battle operability, etc.

The synopsis of Wizardry is as follows.

In response to Mad King Trevor’s request, gather adventurers, form a party, and head into the labyrinth to retrieve the amulet stolen by the evil wizard Wardna. The labyrinth is filled with various monsters and hidden traps, and what awaits you at the deepest part is a direct confrontation with Wardna.

Supported platforms are PC (Steam, already in early access), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Xebox Series X|S.
