Kanagawa Prefecture divided the prefecture’s tourist spots into seven areas and created a video introducing the attractions. It is published on the prefecture’s official YouTube channel and the website “Tourism Kanagawa NOW,” which is jointly operated with the tourism association.

The 7 areas are Yokohama/Kawasaki, Hakone, Shonan, Tanzawa Daisen, Lake Sagami/Sagami River Basin, Miura Peninsula, and Ashigara. Major tourist spots are filmed in 4K high definition using drones, etc., and two types of videos, one long and one short, each around 4 minutes and 90 seconds, are created. There are a total of 15 videos, including a 5-minute “overall version” that summarizes highlights from all areas.

This is the first time the prefecture has produced a tourism PR video for foreign tourists since 2021. The company plans to add English subtitles and re-edit it for online advertising within this year.

Governor Yuji Kuroiwa said, “I want people to rediscover the charm of Kanagawa by watching the video. There are long holidays, so I hope people will watch it while thinking about where to go.” (Shota Shimura)
