Terra Charge Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), which operates the EV charging infrastructure business “Terra Charge,” has signed a carbon neutral partnership agreement with Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture in 2024. The agreement was concluded on Thursday, March 21st.
Under this agreement, 18 TerraCharge EV chargers will be installed at nine public facilities in Ishinomaki City. Ishinomaki City is the first time Terra Charge Co., Ltd. has concluded an agreement with a local government in Miyagi Prefecture.
The background to this agreement is that Ishinomaki City announced its “Zero Carbon City Declaration.” This declaration aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This agreement was concluded as a synergy with Terra Charge Co., Ltd., which provides EV charging infrastructure.
On March 21st (Thursday), the “Carbon Neutral Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony” was held at the main building of Ishinomaki City Hall. The signing ceremony was attended by Masami Saito, Mayor of Ishinomaki, and Shinpei Hongo of Terra Charge Co., Ltd. A demonstration of charging official EV vehicles using an EV charger was held.
