The Toyama Technical Center, a training facility to develop human resources working at pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, has been opened in Toyama City.

The Toyama Technical Center was opened in a corner of the building of Japan Medic, a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Toyama City. This center was developed by A.O.C., a temporary staffing company in Kanazawa City, and an opening ceremony was held on the 25th, where A.O.C. President Atsushi Honda and others celebrated the opening of the center.

In the pharmaceutical industry, in addition to the aging of engineers, the number of inspection processes has increased due to a series of inappropriate manufacturing cases, and a shortage of human resources at manufacturing sites has become an issue. The center will develop human resources involved in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including manufacturing engineers, inspection/analysts, and quality assurance personnel.

Atsushi Honda, President of AOC: “The pharmaceutical industry must adhere to the quality standards set by the government, but how can we ensure safe and secure production? I would like to use this as an opportunity to learn these things thoroughly.”

Kazuya Maeda, President of Japan Medic: “Training and education related to pharmaceutical manufacturing is a challenge for us as well, so we’ll have to start from scratch, so we want to brush up on our skills and create a facility that will satisfy those who come.”

The center aims to enroll approximately 50 people each year.
