1st place: “Soccer player/manager” for boys, “Doctor” for girls
The Japan Financial Planner Association (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Toshiharu Shirane) holds the “Elementary School Students’ ‘Make Your Dreams Come True’ Essay Contest” (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Essay Contest’) every year. This essay contest solicits essays that describe thoughts about future dreams, and each year we tally the various dreams (desired occupations) of elementary school students depicted in the entries.
As we approach Children’s Day on May 5th, we are releasing this release with the aim of helping elementary school students across the country to envision their future dreams and learn about the concept and importance of life plans to make those dreams come true. going.
Among the 2,154 entries for the essay contest held in 2023, elementary school students drew 213 types of “professions they want to have in the future” for boys and 251 types for girls. 1st place among women was “Doctor” with 59 people. In the men’s category, thanks to the performance of the Japanese national team in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, “Basketball Players/Coaches” has significantly improved its ranking compared to last year, and “Railway Drivers/Railway Related” ranks in the top 10 for the first time since the essay competition began. I accomplished it. For girls, “Patissier” and “Illustrator” have significantly increased their rankings compared to last year.
