A new project by the Japan Association aimed at developing future Japanese national rugby representatives began on the 25th in Tokyo, with 14 selected university students participating. Japan national team head coach Eddie Jones, who coached him, emphasized the significance of the move, saying, “We want to develop him well so that he can play in test matches.” This is the first step in preparing for the 2027 World Cup. .

The aim is to provide consistent guidance with the national team. HC Jones energetically gave advice, including Japanese. He also held private individual meetings with players and said, “It’s up to them whether they can become world-class players. I gave them the idea.”
