KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO announced on the 24th that a virtual singer-songwriter who belongs to the same studio’s PHENOMENON RECORD.Meika(Kaika) released their 1st single “Kaika” was released (various distribution services). The music video will also be released at 8pm on the same day. At the same time, an official website for Kafu/Meika was also launched.
Meika showed off her other side for the first time at Hanafu’s 4th one-man live “Kaika” held at Yoyogi Daiichi Gymnasium on January 14th this year, and expressed the feelings that arise from within her. This will be a project where I will write the lyrics and compose the song.

“Kaika” is the last song of the 4th one-man live, and it is a song that describes his feelings about new encounters with fans. The music video was directed by Yasuhiro Arafune, who also worked on the one-man video. There are many highlights in terms of visual expression, such as compositing Meika’s appearance in a 3D virtual space based on recorded live footage.

When I’m alone, I don’t know if I’m making progress or if I haven’t changed that much, but I was given the name Hanafusu and was able to meet you, even though I don’t know your name or face. We were able to make music our home and be close to each other.
I can’t just pretend like I don’t know everything and say “nice to meet you” like a stranger. I hope everyone finds it difficult to say “Nice to meet you.” This is the song I made with this in mind.
Following on from Transfer Student, Sosuke Oikawa did a wonderful arrangement. I really love the sound that lights up and pops.
If you think about it, many wishes and scenes overlap with these three hiragana characters. It’s a very important song to me.

I directed the “Kaika” Music Video.
I’m glad that I was able to be involved in this music video as well, following on from Meika’s video production at Yoyogi’s live performance.
When I hear the word “Kaika” in this song, which is named after Meika, I am reminded of the emotions I felt at that moment at the Yoyogi concert.
I’m sure there were a variety of emotions, including surprise and anxiety, as well as expectations for something new to happen.In order to express these various feelings surrounding “Kaika,” I chose the method of reconstructing the Yoyogi concert. .
In the MV, recorded live footage is scanned and converted into a 3D virtual space.
I wanted to capture that moment of “Nice to meet you” between Meika and the observer in a commemorative photo that has depth by recording it in its entirety.
A new expression of Meika-san began from that moment.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will blossom from now on.
