Mobile Suit Gundam, which began broadcasting in 1979, is a masterpiece that became the origin of the Gundam series, which has produced many works to this day. A number of unique and attractive pilots have appeared, including the main character Amuro Ray, his rival Char Aznable, and the enemy general Ramba Ral.

Therefore, Netorabo Research Team conducted a survey from March 29th to April 4th, 2024 asking, “Who is your favorite First Gundam pilot?”

2nd place: Char Aznable

The second place went to “Char Aznable” with 95 votes. He is an ace pilot of the Principality of Zeon, nicknamed the “Red Comet.” Due to his accomplishments in the Loum campaign, his name became widely known throughout the story.

After a fateful battle with the Gundam piloted by protagonist Amuro Ray, a fateful rivalry begins to emerge. Even after the end of the One Year War, he continues to be one of the important figures, and despite being tossed around by harsh fate, he still maintains a firm will, which is probably what attracts so many fans.

1st place: Ramba Ral

The first place went to “Ramba Lal” which received 97 votes. This character is depicted as a full-fledged military man who not only has the ability to freely manipulate the ground MS Gouf, but also excels in real combat.

Amuro’s direct attack on the White Base shocked Amuro and his friends. As a pilot who continued to stand against Gundam until the very end, he must have had an overwhelming presence. Even though he was in a hostile position with Amuro, there were probably many fans who were drawn in by his strong appearance.
